Simmons NxG vs Tempur-pedic

Hello Everyone,

We have had several questions about the Simmons NxG vs Tempurpedic. With many callers there was confusion about the differences in these mattresses. The first major difference is that Tempur-pedic is an all foam mattress. Tempur-pedic is great product but quite different from Simmons NxG or as they call it their next generation foam.

The Simmons NxG is not an all foam mattress. The unique quality in the Simmons NxG mattress is that is has the Simmons individually pocketed coil system with the NxG on the top for comfort. The NxG mattresses really do feel great! We think the main difference in feel between the two is that with the Tempur-pedic you get that quicksand or sinking in feeling. Not a bad thing, but some people don't like that. What the Tempur-pedic is doing is reacting to the heat of the body and conforming as it reacts.

The Simmons NxG would be for the person who doesn't like that feeling of quicksand. The Simmons NxG conforms immediately and the sinking in feeling does not occur. Of course Tempur-pedic with the mattress consisting of all foam offers a 20 Year Warranty and the Simmons NxG has a 10 Year warranty.

Our advice is to find a store with both if you are considering either model. Settle on the mattress that feels the best to you always! Both are excellent mattresses. We can deliver to you free with no tax.
