Sleeping on a Pillow Top, Lower back pain!

Caller from New Jersey wondering if her Pillow Top mattress was why she is waking up with lower back pain. She said she did not experience this with her previous mattress. After asking her many questions we did advise her to purchase a different mattress. She said her pillow top is very soft and thick. She is 160 lbs and sleeps on her stomach. As a stomach sleeper you should not sleep on a mattress that is to soft. If the mattress is to soft and you are more pear shaped your mid section can sink into the mattress lower than the rest of your body and therefore cause your spine to be out of alignment. This can cause lower back pain. We recommended a Luxury firm mattress which should support her correctly.
