It is very important to know how high your bed is off the floor to where you foundation will sit. A metal bed frame is usually 6 1/2 to 7" high. You want to combine your mattress height with the foundation height and then the height of the bed or metal bed frame from the floor. All three measurements combined will tell you how high your mattress set will be from the floor up. A mistake that is often times made is not taking into the equation the height of the bed. We just recently spoke with a customer ordering a new bed that is 11 1/2" from the floor to where the foundation would sit. This is a big difference and he needs to be careful with the selection of his new mattress and foundation. Always talk to your sales representative about foundation height before ordering.
